How originals are kept useful
OpenWall Originals are added in small batches and compared against the existing library. Near-duplicates, weak crops, visually noisy images, and images that do not work behind icons are kept out of the main original collections.
When an original is used in a location-inspired or style-inspired collection, the page describes it as an OpenWall original rather than implying it is a documentary photograph or an official image from another owner.
